Forumite Louie Halford can probably help you with how to contact Clint. He has known him since he was a kid. But, Louie only gets his emails occasionally, he's had lots of ISP problems.

I agree with you that the guitar playing on this album is great. I also have a teaching video of Clint that is great, he plays 4 or 5 songs in a Jazz Quartet format, great stuff. Plus he talks about his musical background and describes some of his licks etc. This video was put out by Musicians Institute in California I think. He also played for Merle Haggard for a while.

To the best of my knowledge Clint gives guitar lessons in the Arlington, TX area. Unless he's teaching at North Texas State. I don't believe he has a computer.
Darvin where did you get that instructional video? I've been looking for it. Is there an ordering address or # on the sleeve? It's just fun to watch.
He recorded a deal with Freddy Powers. I forgot what it was called. My copy was lost. I'd love to get another copy of it. Anyone in the Austin area know if that's still available?
Tom has said they recorded Vol. 4 faster than he wanted to. Clint comes on so strong and just rips. Benny Garcia, Tommy Perkins, Mac Macrae, and Johnny Case are a great rhythm section.
I asked Tom if he listened to Bud Powell much, and he said "No, he plays so much he makes me too nervous, kinda like Clint Strong does"

Mike,
The video is called Clint Strong, Mastering Jazz Licks. It was put out by REH Video and distributed by CPP/Belwin Inc., Miami, Fl., 33014. There is no other address or phone number. It was put out in 1993, and I found this one on Ebay.

Hey Hoss, how you been? Thanks for the link to Freddy's site. The Country Jazz Singer is a gem of singing, songwriting and playing.
Didn't Clint make a tape something like, "Playing Jazz behind a Country song" or someting similar, or is this the same tape?

I've got a tape of Clint playing with Freddy
Powers in two different club type settings on stage. One has two fiddles accompanying them; the other does not. One of the most exciting guitar players I've ever heard aside form Chet Atkins, Grady Marting and Hank Garland. Of course, Doyle Dykes is no slouch either.

Clint is, according to what a friend of his told me last night, playing six nights a week at the Petroleum Club in Fort Worth. He's not taking any other gigs because he's committed to taking his Dad to dialysis treatments.

Oh yeah, he's playing bass. What's wrong with that picture?
