![]() Just wondering. Is it proper decorum or etiquette to post over and over again( I'm not talking about 3 or 4 times) within a post every time you have a thought or comment? It seems this is more of a "chat room" approach as opposed to a forum approach. What do you think? Seems to be a trend lately. |

![]() I always try to keep my posts in any single thread down to your suggested 3 or 4. But I, too, have noticed what you're talking about (like posting over 100 times in the same thread). Could it be that some are impressed by mere "numbers"? Not me. |

![]() I'm not sure of the definition, but I think a forum is set up for posting a message and receiving posted replies. A chat room is set up for instant conversation. |

![]() When people start using a Forum topic as a two or three way private conversation, I sometimes suggest that they take it to email. When people post in what I perceive to be the wrong area, in areas that I moderate, I move the topic. Many of my decisions seem arbitrary, because I can't read everything that's posted. Each of us has a different, narrow viewport into the Forum. It's amazing that it's survived so long, with so few rules.
