This is a lesser-known Buddy Holly song that is a beauty. I did it for bed tracks to practice steel with.

If anybody is interested in the rhythm tracks to play along with, I'd be happy to email such a file. It would be fun to hear a real steeler on this song.
I'll be working with these a long time on tone, and inconsequential matters like technique.

It's only proper, Dave.
This is not a song I heard when Buddy was alive.
First summer I lived here, in high school, I worked for the schools, delivering books and stuff. We were removing the desks at O.L. Slaton Jr. Hi, and one of them had 'Buddy Holly' carved into it. Wish I'd copped it and kept it.
