I watched the last 30 minutes of the top 100 countdown of all time country songs last night on CMT. Tammy Wynette's "Stand by your man" was number one and a very hoarse sounding George Jones did a live version of the number two song, "He stopped loving her today." While trying to read the very fast running credits at the end, I noticed it originally aired in 2003. However, I failed to read the steel players name. It went by too fast! He was fantastic and I was wondering if anyone knew who it was? Dave ------------------ |

If it was the 100 Greatest songs of country music concert, the steeler was Hal Rugg playing his Zumsteel D-10. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10 |

He was an older gentleman wearing glasses and looked to be a green D-10 that he was playing, but I couldn't see the emblem. He played everything fantastic no matter which song it was! Dave [This message was edited by David Higginbotham on 28 December 2005 at 08:19 PM.] |
