I just got home from the Ray Price show tonight with the great Mike Cass on steel sounded great on his GFI I should know because me and my son Tony were sitting on the stage right by mike and Ray it was wounderful Mike took real good care of us. Also another treat was he had Greg Galbrieth on guitar and Buddy Spicher on fiddle with 2 other so he had 3 fiddles it was great and he sounded great. Chubby Howard

Thanks Chubby, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. I'm gonna run down tomorrow and snag me a few tickets. I thought about it and couldn't imagine him playin any of his greatest songs without a steel and fiddle or two.

...Ray Price not only has the incomparable Mike Cass on steel, he features the steel upfront on the stage...Mike isn't just playing fills in the background. Buck Dilly and I saw Mike with Ray Price a year and a half ago across the river in PA., and Mike took real good care of us, too. We were all chewin' the fat backstage while the other acts were playing, and then we watched Ray Price's act from the wings. Mike is a gentleman as well as a great steel player...and a mechanical artist when it comes to rebuilding old push-pulls. Mike can rest assured that he's made his mark in the steel world....I still have to post the pictures of the rebuild he did on my bolt-on...
