![]() b0b, My check is in the mail. Lloyd is one of the people who got me interested in playing the pedal steel guitar. He has been a steel hero of mine for years. Thanks for making the CD available to us. |

![]() Anyone who doesn't know: this is one of the all time greatest "all around" steel recordings- besides the obvious interest in the fact that it is Lloyd playing; it adds up to great MUSIC as opposed to "merely great steel playing". In other words, even your spouse will dig it! ![]() ------------------ |

![]() What Drew said! Lloyd Green is the most personable and available steel player of note that I have ever met. Sometimes I think he doesn't know how appreciated he and his music and playing over the years is and was. Since he signed my guitar last week, I've been asking people whether they know who he is. Honestly, among the younger musicians I know and work with, and the fans I have talked to in clubs, they don't recognize the name. THEN, when I recite the litany of Charley Pride, Johhny Paycheck, Paul McCartney, and a dozen others, they say "Oh Yeah! HIM!". Then, when I say "The Steel Player on Remember When", they want me to turn my guitar upside down so they can see his signature. Over the years, I have been a fan of much music, the same way. I'm guilty. Sometimes with Mr's Mooney, Myrick, and a few others I can tell immediately. I can only tell Buddy C on immediate hearing. So shoot me. I bought my copy of Revisited, and it came signed, with a nice long note from Lloyd. I don't meditate very much, but I'm meditating, that he is as satisfied with his bringing us all the REAL DEAL, as millions of us have been buying and listening to it. There's more of his playing on the good stuff, than anybody I can think of. Fates willing, there are lots more to come. Bless his heart, as they say in Nashville.... ![]() Lloyd sent me a nice note when I bought the CD; I hope he records more, I'm a faithful customer of his. What's not to like? |

![]() Lloyd no longer sells the CD by direct mail. I think that the Forum catalog is the only place where you can currently buy it. Order item #C-024. Price $16, and I'll pay the postage. ------------------ |

![]() Just got mine from the Forum Catalog. Great album, my favorite is "Jukebox Charlie", and it makes me feel like I just walked into a Texas honky-tonk. Also "100 Years From Now" has really nice vocals with steel. But I start crying in my beer when Junior Brown provides guest vocals on "So Sad". |

![]() The intro to "So Sad" is of one the more beautiful moments in music! ------------------ [This message was edited by Drew Howard on 07 March 2005 at 05:23 PM.] |

![]() and not just the intro... that whole cut slays me; Junior Brown's vocals, and the elegant way Lloyd closes out the solo... ahhhhh! |
