DVD #1: "The Hawaiian DVD" This DVD is in 2 parts. The first half hour is a show called "Hawaiian Music, A National Identity in Sound" in which Billy Hew Len, along with Myra English and Sonny Chillingworth perform a live half hour set in the Blue Dolphin room. Billy plays great. The second half hour is a mini documentary on the History of Hawaiian Steel as told by Jerry himself. This show is a must see with Jerry Byrd, Barney Issacs and Alan Akaka.

DCD #2: The Second Hawaiian DVD" Starts with an outside concert with a band I don't know but Barney Issacs is the steel player and does some real nice work.
The second part is priceless. It's a concert in the TV studio of Jerry with Hiram Olsen and others. Jerry plays Kama Kahi, Kewala Chimes, Anytime Anywhere, My Little Chickadee, Wai Ulu and Sand. Great camera work, lots of closeups of his hands.
The third part is an interview with Jerry about his life.

Each DVD is $20, shipping is free

Thanks for making these shows available. I never got to see Jerry Byrd in person or Billy Hew Len or Barney Issacs and these DVDs are as close as I'm ever going to get. They are really very special and I watch them at least every week or two, whenever I feel the need to see and hear a truly GREAT steel player! Very inspiring, to say the least! When Jerry introduces "Sand" it sends chills up my spine

Thinking about a Christmas present for a lap steel playing buddy? These DVD's will bring a smile to any steel player who loves Jerry's playing.
