A-L-E-R-T !!! If you all would be so kind as to be on the lookout for a Clear LACQUER D-10 Carter with Polished Pedals and Knee Levers that was stolen from our customer, Wayne Simmons, last week from his home in the area just south of San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Simmons and his wife would be most appreciative for any help you can give them. If any of you are in Pawn Shops, please be on the lookout for this beautiful Carter, which looks similar to this, Serial Number: 90758222-24 VERY sad side-line to all this is that, according to Mrs. Simmons, the gentleman who apparently took this Carter and other items, was a man that Mr. Simmons and his wife were giving shelter to (trusted him) and the boarder did this while Mr. Simmons was in the hospital for surgery. If you have any information you believe will assist these folks in locating this Carter, please contact Mr. Simmons and his wife directly by email: hyatt2353@aol.com or by phone: 210-621-2327 or by FAX: 210-621-9298. They are not web surfers quite yet. What do you all say? I say: Let's do our best to help him find his Carter! Ann Fabian |

Thank you Ms. Fabian for alerting the public about this unfortunate happening. I think you are doing every steel player a favor by bringing our attention to this. If we all keep vigilant, perhaps that fine looking guitar will end up back where it belongs. Best of luck to the victim, and shame on the thief. |

Another Bump, just to keep this near the top and fresh on our minds,I hope the guitar is found soon and the thief gets HIS neck streched to a 24 1/4 scale. |

All's well that ends well, and now we know the real definition of an "ingrate". The person who stole that guitar apparently knows no shame. Way to go Tommy and Ann! ------------------ |

I'm happy for Wayne. I'm still waiting for the police to recover a "brand new" Fender 1000 and a Standel Custom stolen from the Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City on New Years Eve 1964. (My insurance didn't cover it because it wasn't in my home or the trunk of my car). It wouldn't matter so much now, but back then me and the wife were living "payday to payday" on my music playing! May those guys who do that --- -- ---! www.genejones.com |
