On Saturday, August 24th, 9:00pm til about 1:00am in Olney MD, there will be a whole lot steelin' goin' on. I'll be doing a Swingin' Doors reunion gig with some old friends. Brint and I both play guitar and steel, so we figured we'll just set both of our steels up and trade off. But wait!! it gets better!!! Paul Vandemmia lives right down the street from the club, so he's gonna come out and play also. Gary Lee Gimble also lives nearby and doesn't have a gig that night, he said he'll be out with Paul. Nathan Flemming from Ty Braddock's band should be there. I have a probably from Bobby Martin of Honky Tonk Confidential also to come out and pick a little with us. E-mail me for directions and let me know if ya wanna pick a little with us! I'd love to see and meet some of you guys who live out this way.

Germantown is only 15 minutes away!!! E-mail with directions on the way. You're more than welcome to play my Pro III, but if you'd prefer, we'll try to clear space for the ZUM.

Hey Chris...
next bump include the name of the Venue...
THAT would help in the shameless promotion department

This unique joint goes by the name of Griff's Place, located one mile south of the Montgomery County Land Fill, RT 108. I can guarantee I have no droppings there, the Fill that is! So Dave, bring over 15 pounds of delmonico sometime on Saturday and we'll grill and enjoy a few, if not many, goblets of vino!

Gary Lee... I'd love to take you up on the steak and vino, but I got to get to load-in/soundcheck early.

Unless of course you wanna decant to your ole hippie wineskin and join us on the lawn early evening 'fore Last Train Home's 8pm show?

I owe a huge thank you to all who showed up and made for a super fun night. Dave Van Allen, super picking! Gary Lee, you scare me! Paul Vandemmia, I play in a band with you, so you don't get a compliment. And thanks to those steel players who showed up and don't even own a computer (freakin' Luddites!!). I had a blast, I'm going to talk to the owner to see if maybe we can do this again in November. Thanks again you guys! you're beautiful!
