Dear Sam,

I have several email addresses listed on our various websites (all somewhat specific in nature) including an email for the PedalSteel.us Magazine. There is no "general email" for me, and therefore I don't list one here.

However, I did post on the other thread you first mentioned this friend John, an email (and I believe even a telephone number) for you to contact me. I never received any response from you.

I asked also, in that thread, that you find out whether or not your friends check had actually cleared his bank, as we have no record of him whatsoever. Likely, his check never arrived here.

Finally, we do not receive credit card information, just the payment receipt. So if you, or anyone else would like to order the June/July 2003 Issue (or any back issues) they will need to order like they did the first time, again.

You can now purchase subscriptions though, thus eliminating the need to re-order each month.

I hope this information helps you, and I will continue praying for your friend John.

God Bless,
Terry Wendt

Sam, I have a problem and I would like you to please contact me immediately. I have never received any information about this man you mention named John. Since I have no information about him, he must not have ever ordered a magazine. I couldn't send him a magazine if I wanted to, as we have not received an order/mailing address from him to send one! Perhaps you would like to provide an order and mailing address for him? Seems like a nice caring gesture... let me know.

Please contact me immediately.

Thank you,

Hi Gary,

I wasn't the fellow with the camera on that piece. (Mr. Larry Beck should get the credit for that fine article/interview, very soon to be printed within the pages of the June/July 2003 Issue.) I don't recall a "blue" Williams Steel in the pictures submitted with that article, but I will take a closer look... and if we're printing a shot your steel in the mag you'll soon know about it! (Also, there are a large number of extra June/July issues being printed up so you'll be able to pick up a copy after it comes out if you'd like too.) Sorry I couldn't be more specific in answering your question, but I really don't know if your guitar is pictured in the proofs, or not. I am, however, really working hard on this issue to get it out to the printer... so, we'll see soon enough! Thanks for the interest!

I paid for my subscription for this magazine on May 20th with Paypal. Terry stated by email that I would receive my first one with the June/July issue. Above he says that they will ship in June. Well, it's August 24th, and guess what: no magazine. I've emailed Terry and he has not returned my emails. What gives, Terry?

Hi Gary,

I am sorry you did not receive any reply to your email. I did edit the initial post on the above topic after reading your post, as I realize it has not come to pass as I had previously expected (and posted).

I have been slammed with steel guitar work for months now. Please let me know if there is anything I can do (refund, etc., I am already working steadily to complete the June/July-August/September issue[s].)

Thank you,

Terry Wendt

Terry, It sounds almost like you need a staff. Or at least on the verge of damned if you do, and damned if you don't. Wish I was closer I'd help. Maybe somebody in the Nashville area would have the urge to help you. It is quite an undertaking for one guy and his wife and a couple others. I wish you good luck.

Thank you Craig... I wish you lived closer too As long as everyone doesn't throw in the hat for the temporary delay we'll be fine. Besides, there's only been 1 person request a refund who couldn't wait. Nothing in the magazine is dated that would disallow it to be just as fresh, informative, and wonderful whenever the magazine arrives. I can't recall anything worthwhile being all that easy... including picking steel! We'll get the timing thing down as quickly as possible. For now, ...still learning.

Terry,

I'm not currently a subscriber. Sorry, but previous experience with other steel pubs has made me hesitant.

I'd suggest that you go to a quarterly publication and time the release of the issues around ISGC and some of the other major steel shows. That way you could pick up sales from non-subscribers at the shows.

I don't know what sort of help or assistance you are in need of, but I'm a pretty fair hand with MS Office and some of the digital photo applications. I'm not experienced with web development or HTML. Let me know if I can help with 2-4 hours a week.

I think I need an ethernet connection to Joe Camacho (you see, he knows QuarkExpress 4) which is where the downfall is... I am the only person around here that can navigate around Quark (the print media standard for magazine/book layout, etc.) at the present time. Thanks for the suggestions regarding quarterly publication. I still think it's just a matter of "pacing" ourselves though. There is much steel to cover, and 6 times a year is barely enough space for it. The dates (June/July, etc.) on each of the issues are more for technical purposes anyway.

Message to Gary Morrison

Hi Gary,I have tried emailing you ([gmorrison@balmargroup.com] and [garymorrison@quest.net]) and they are being returned. Please telephone me so I know that you have received a reply to your previous post above.

The telephone number listed (also on the website (615)885-6565) is forwarded to my personal line and I attempt to answer it whenever it rings. If I don't get to it a voice mailbox will pick it up saying, "Thank you for calling Apple Books and PedalSteel.us Magazine". You then have the option to leave a message. Call anytime you get this.

Thanks,

A lot of folks who made the convention might have seen the mock-up of the current issue that Shorty Rodgers had with him, it's about 98% finished, just some final tweezing before heading to the printers- this one's just loaded with articles, tab, and information, and really worth the wait! Be patient, Terry's got a lot on his plate and he's determined to make this a world class magazine. All of our support here as he gets the first few issues going may make all the difference in having an ongoing publication we'll all enjoy. Lots more great stuff in the pipe, too!

PLEASE...Hang in a few more..
