You are cordially invited to join Carter Steel Guitars at the Dallas Jamboree and enjoy:

Brian Sklar & the Tex Pistols are scheduled to appear in the Carter Demo Room with Billy Phelps for 2 shows (in addition to their appearances in the main room with Billy Phelps on Saturday and Sunday).

Friday, March 12
6-7 pm
(Carter Demo Room)
and
Saturday, March 13
5-6:20 pm (dinner break)
(Carter Demo Room)

These very talented Canadian artists form an excellent Western Swing and Cajun-style country band. Here are some reviews and background on them.

Check in at the Carter Demo Room throughout the show for more surprises . . .

Another surprise will be the very talented lead guitarist Steve Piticco (from the premier Canadian Country band, South Mountain), who is scheduled to perform with Al Brisco in the Main Concert Room.

Too old! but I still have the itch! Haven't been to Dallas in a long, long time! Last steel show down that way was Tulsa in 1997, I think. I remember it was Jeannie Keener's first show. Wish I could be there to see everything & everybody......Bill's new Excel.
Maybe even play a new MSA or Carter? Seems like that's where the ones I used to have (5) came from! Bud builds them, but I also like the way he plays them!

Well, the "sound check" was awesome last night!

It included Brian Sklar & the Tex Pistols {twin fiddles } with Billy Phelps and Al Brisco on steel (twin steel } and Steve Piticco {truly amazing 6-string} ... monster picking, FANTASTIC sound.

For those of you who missed the sound check, you are cordially invited tonight and Saturday night at the times posted above ...

In addition, you never know when spontaneous "sound checks" will occur in the Carter Room ... so stay tuned!
