I've got a new CD titled "A Few Of My Favorite Things." It's been 15 years since I did the last one, so I've had some time to plan this one. There are 4 original songs and 8 that I consider to be classics. Also on track 3 Laney Hicks turned in an outstanding performance on the song "Cry." The songs are:

1. Lean On It (original)
2. Somewhere
3. Cry (with Laney Hicks vocals)
4. 6 To 9 (original)
5. Body & Soul
6. You've Got A Friend
7. My Favorite Things
8. Psalm 33:2 (original)
9. Crying
10. Let It Go (original)
11. You Don't Know Me
12. What A Friend / The Lord's Prayer

All songs are on the E9th with the exception of track 12. That one is on C6th, with steel only.

I will have the play along tracks but I don't have them in my hands at this time. I'm suppose to have them on Monday.
CDs are $15.00 and the tracks are $12.00, and shipping $2.00 per order, not per item. If you want to order both I should have the tracks Monday. But if not, I'll ship them separately and I'll pay the shipping as soon as I get them. Personal checks accepted, or if you prefer, money orders. Also, you can now order through Pay-Pal, but please include an extra $1.00 to cover their charges. Please don't send cash through the mail. Send to:

Hello John.
My daughter is working on a web-site for me, but it is not up and running yet. I'm still doing it the "old fashion way", by snail mail.

Hi Randy I will wait two weeks to make sure you have both as that is what I want. Had a nice chat with your Mom about you and you should be proud of yourself and your Mom.It is nice to have a great family. I have one of the best myself. My Mom and Dad are both gone but I still have two great sisters and two great brothers.Lost my older brother to Cancer about 26 years ago at 51 years old.

You'll have them in Chattanooga I hope! I'm looking forward to seeing you again and getting a copy of your new CD. How did you get Russ to agree to letting his singer work for another steel man?????

For those of you haven’t heard much about this album, or its’ originator, let me enlighten you. Randy is truly a great player and has a very unique style. But even more interesting is the method he employed in getting the sounds he got in the studio. For example, there is no guitar in the backup band. No electric or acoustic guitars will be heard! You might be concerned that it does not have the right flavor for a “steel guitar” instrumental album….. but it sounds wonderful.

And don’t forget Randy has one of the sweetest voices on “Cry” that you could ever ask to hear. The fantastic Laney Hicks is just a knock out (as she is always).

Yep, this album is all about style, originality, musical taste and tone. It just has it all. Get it and you’ll see what I mean.

I want one, but ain't gonna buy it unless you bring it to Saluda in May

You know the welcome mat is always out for you at Saluda and once you play there you are always part of the family. Hope to see you there soon.

Congratulations on the new CD. I know it will sell great.

Roger C and Bob H, yes I'll have them in Chattanooga. Roger, I had to bypass the agent and go straight to the source.

John F, I'm going to be in New Orleans the week of Saluda. We'll figure something out, but you're right, I feel like part of the Saluda family.

Tony D, I probably will tab out some of the material once I see which songs there will be a market for.

Ditto, Junior. I've been listening to Randy's new CD nonstop for several days now, and it's one of the most interesting approaches to steel guitar music I've ever heard. The playing is just great and the tone is, how shall I put it... more than acceptable! Way to go R.B.!

Junior, Jim, and Ray, a sincere thank you. I really enjoyed doing this project, but the fact that my friends like it makes it even more worthwhile.

Ray, don't worry about wearing it out. You can turn it over and play the other side...

Got my CD and trax yesterday, and all I can say is WOW!! Tone to the bone!! It has been playing non stop at the Easton Ranch here in Casa Grande. Way to go Randy. You sure got a winner here! To everyone who does not have this CD, you are missing out on one of the greatest players ever. The music is superb!! You could do about 100 more of these types of CD for me, and I would buy every one of them.

I have spent the past two days listening to Randy's new CD. There are many great recordings done by great musicians every year. Each has it's moments, some more than others. This CD by Randy Beavers is amoung the best of the best of any instrumental recordings. Amoung steel guitar records it is in my opinion one of the top five ever, and amoung all instrumentals it is most definatly in the top fifty. Randy had much to say in his CD, and not a musical word was left unspoken.

Randy gave me a promo copy of this new CD while I was in Nashville a few weeks ago.

I will be playing cuts from this CD (along with others)during sound setup in Chattanooga on Thursday afternoon and a good portion of Friday.

You'll like it.

Randy, you better bring a "BUNCH" of these as I know they will go fast.

I played this CD so loud in my Suburban coming home from Nashville that I blew out the rear speakers, so send me $$ Randy. hehe

I received my copy today and I'm trying to figure how to get the goose bumps to go down. The level that the steel has reached is due in part to the super players in our age and Randy takes his place with the best. This is a must-have treasure for the steel fan and I only hope we don't have to wait as long for the next one as we did for the last one.
First class all the way Randy and thanks for sharing your gift with us.

Thanks to Rob and Ray!
