I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in presenting an MSA steel guitar to Jonathan Candler. Jonathan’s parents, Randy and Vickie, opened their home for those who wanted to hear Jonathan play his new custom MSA and prepared a delicious luncheon as well. The Candler family is a remarkable family in providing love and support to each other due to their strong faith. It’s easy to see how Jonathan can accomplish whatever he sets his mind to with the strong foundation of his family.
As you can see by the pictures, Jonathan was eager to learn to put together his guitar. He put on three pedal rods by himself and latched the pedal bar and then proceeded to screw in the back two legs. He is truly an amazing little guy.
None of this could have been achieved if it were not for the kindness and generosity of Kyle Bennett and MSA. A very special and sincere thank you to Kyle and MSA for their grateful contribution not only to Jonathon but to all of us sharing the experience.
My heart was touched by Jonathan and I cannot put into words how it makes me feel. The other extraordinary pleasure of this trip was to see and talk with a living legend, Bud Isaacs.

David...
Thanks for posting this, sorry I couldn't be there. Jonathon is truly an amazing boy, and we can expect great things from him. Thanks again to David, Reese, Kyle, Johnnie, Jr., and all the MSA crew for their generosity. Also a tip of the hat to Big Jim Baron and all the folks who have supported and loved the entire Candler family. They are super people, and will always have my utmost respect. Thanks David.

I caught Jonathan at the Senior jam this winter in Yuma. He is truly remarkable and I am so glad MSA fixed him up. The Steel Club of Phoenix (can't remember the exact name) had provided a used steel for him earlier. I am sure he is so excited. The first annual jam in Phoenix was a blast too. Such great non-pro players (as well as pros). Guess this was the last time everyone pulled a great joke on Newman. wally

A big tip of my hat to all you fine folks who made this happen, especially to MSA for the most generous contribution of a new guitar for this young man. May you all be richly blessed by The Master for your willingness to share of your love, talents and products with this family.
