Hello All:
I dont want to sound redundant, but for those of you who were not at the convention and those of you who were, I want to thank each and everyone of you for all your prayers and to let you know that if it were not for you and your friendship and support over the time
Jody first became invloved with all of you wonderful folks,I would have never been able to come to meet those of you that I did.

To me, it was a wonderful day and all of you made this possible, Thank all of you and I will never ever forget that day as long as I live. Jody is sulking over his inablity to
play as he could,my heart goes out to him as well because I know how much it hurts him.

Some men are like babies and Jody is my baby.

I have never ever met such wonderful people as I did at Scotty's show.

Thank you all and I ask God to bless all of you and to ask good health and the best life
has to offer to all of you and your's.

I love each and everyone of you and now I know why Jody spends so much time on this computer.

Thank You and God Bless all of you.

Marilyn Carver.

Marilyn....after all of the e-mails that me and Jody have exchanged over the last few years about our families, dogs, music, etc, meeting you at St Louis was like seeing a long time friend, rather than actually meeting you for the first time. I mean this sincerely from my heart....I found you to be a beautiful and lovely person in all ways.

Thank you for getting Jody to the ISGC for his induction into the ISGHOF. Until we meet again, may God bless you and Jody!

Marilyn, Jody is top notch in my book. I have talked on the forum several times with him, and had the pleasure of finally meeting him face to face. He is everything he seems. I sure feel honored to have met him.

Hi Marilyn,
How wonderful it was to see you on stage when Jody was honored. Like so many others, I feel like you are long-time friend. I keep you and Jody in my prayers. Clearly, you two have a very, very special bond. I did run into Jody coming out of the hall - and took a moment to introduce myself. He mentioned how disappointed he was with his set. I can HONESTLY say I didn't notice anything going wrong. I took a ton of pictures of him playing. There're only so many angles you can photograph that look any different. Ha.
I do wish I could have met you personally, however. You are both so very blessed.

Hi Marilyn and Jody. It's a wonderful experience to have friends like you for 50 years. It was great being with you in St. Louis.

I'm very grateful to Scotty for asking me to read the inscription on Jody's HOF plaque during the induction ceremonies. In spite of the few problems on stage, Jody played great. His arrangement of Caravan was the icing on the cake.

God Bless!

Us old guys sometimes like to say: If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't change a dang thing !!

I've changed my mind...I'd go back and try to find me a Lady such as you and then everything would be perfect !!

And Jody; Thank goodness you weren't into sports...You'd have had to drop out at age 35 or younger while in music I know of no upper limit. I may never be as good as I once was but I'm as good once as I ever was !

Regards, Paul

Marilyn,

Laurie and I were so happy to finally meet you and Jody in person. After all the Forum posts, emails, and phone calls we already knew both of you and your great personalities. Meeting you in person and being able to visit with you was just great. Jody's playing was outstanding. It was refreshing to hear something other than E9 for a change. I was concentrating on his playing and didn't hear anything wrong with his intonation. I hope your trip home was free of any of the mishaps that put Jody in such a self-critical mood. He played great steel on some difficult songs.

You are still in our daily prayers. We love you both.

Hello Marilyn -
I'm very happy that you and Jody made it to St Louis alright, and really sorry that I wasn't able to be there, because I would have loved to meet both of you.
I'm sure you had a great time meeting some of the people Jody has gotten to know through the Forum - Gene, Roy, and all the rest... It was lovely to see Gene's photos as well.
All the very best to both of you.
Nick
