Thank you to those who have ordered the old LP vinyl recording cut back in July of 1958.Dont thank me. Thank Dave Van Allen for making this possible. And to Liz Van Allen for seeing this LP in a yard sale some years back. If it were not for Dave there would be no Hot Club Of America today and would more than likley have been long forgotten. There were four of us on the HCOA but I have included Dave as the 5th member of the HCOA. Thanks Dave..You Da man Best Jody, Johnny, Augie,& George. November 6th 1986 the day Johnny's stratocaster was silenced Please remember him for me. |

Jody my friend That was a nice gesture for you to include your friend Mr. Van Allen. I agree that from what you have told me,he was the driving force that got you going on your project. As you mentioned awhile back, your Red Jacket as shown on the LP cover was lost by the cleaner,I'll bet that jacket is worth a few dollars these day. To Mr. Van Allen...Thank you for helping my friend as you did and I for one have heard nothing but goood things about the man that you are,and if Jody says you are tops, well thats good enough for me. Jody- the music you guys made nearly 50 years ago spoke to my soul the first time I heard it. Lizz reminded me tonight it was a church sale she found the album at... the hand of a higher power at work perhaps. My Tribute page to HCOA has been truly a labour of love. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet you and Marilyn. My heart goes out to you in this troubling time. ------------------ "I've got the 'ZB Jeebies™' !" Jody,Not quite on topic, but there were many highlights for Laurie and me at the convention -- but the brightest of all was our chance to finally meet you and Marilyn in person. You are a great couple, and it's easy to see why you chose each other as your lifteime partners. May God belss you both and be with you during these trying times. ------------------
