![]() David, As I told you in Saluda, it sounds like a great time and a very comendable cause. Count me in and let me know what I can do to help. Bob, it will be good to see you again and while you are at it, bring a bunch of those E Tenn hillbillys with you. Maybe Tony Dingus and a few of the others. Let's help make David's first show a huge success. Everybody, I don't know of a better way to spend a weekend than to be with friends and have lots of great music goin' on. And when you can help out someone in need at the same time, that just makes it even better. With entertainers like Russ and Laney there, it would have to be something awfully important to keep me away. As I have said many times, Russ Hicks has been one of my favorites for many years, and if there is a better country singer out there than Laney, I sure haven't heard 'em. Then when you add all the great players that David mentioned, well, you just don't want to miss it. Come and join us for a great time. See ya there [This message was edited by Jim Hartley on 24 February 2005 at 09:05 AM.] |

![]() Hey David...thanks for the invite to the show...it's gonna be great seeing all the 'southern' steelers and to have Jim Hartley and Wayne Smith in the band, along with all the great guitar pickers in that area, or at least close to that area.....I'm also anxious to see how many of the musicians in the Florence area remember the Slim Mims Show from the mid-sixties...Jr. Gainey, Ann Rochelle, Eddie Coates, Lewis Price, to mention just a few...this may turn into a real picker's 'reunion' for a real good cause...We looking forward to it. Highest Regards, Russ H. |

![]() Folks and fellow forumites...I have known David Christmas for 2 plus years and I have found him to be an extra special person. This is his first adventure in sponsering a steel jam, so lets get behind him and give him some help with this event. The proceeds from the jam are going for a very worthy cause. This unselfich event is for the support if a friend who is having very serious health problems. He is sparing no expense to make this a successful event. If my health continues to stay athe level it is presently, I hope to be there also. God Bless you David... ------------------ [This message was edited by Kenny Dail on 07 March 2005 at 07:03 AM.] |
