Judy and I will be in Las Vegas NV, Thursday thru Monday. Any chance we can get to see some "real entertainment" (other than nakid girls and slot machines)?! Prefer pedal steel guitar music, if available.

Last time I tried to find a country band, or a band with a steel in Vegas, It was like hunting "chickin teeth". Even Gilleys' just had a [yuk] DJ.

I live in Vegas, but do not play out anywhere.
The consensus seems to be the Buzz Evans is the man to see, as Smiley says "if you can find him".
If you do manage to find where he is playing, please let the rest of us know. I would like to hear him myself.

Yep, Buzz is tops, but there are also other good steelers lurking around. Tommy Wayne plays with the Randy Anderson Band, check their schedule on their site here: http://randyandersonband.com

Kenny Morris plays with Wolfcreek, their website is here: http://www.wolfcreekband.com/

Buzz plays with Bobby Kingston from time to time, Bobby most likely knows where Buzz is, even if he's not gigging with him at the moment. Bobby's site is here: http://www.bobkingston.com/

Bobby's website doesn't work with Firefox, better use Internet Explorer. They're all old friends and good guys besides good musicians.

By the way, these days there's quite a bit more to Vegas than naked girls and slot machines.

Many thanks for the replies and leads from each of you. Judy and I will have a much more fun visit to "Lost Wages," now that we can go see Bobby Kingston's Band, and any others we find active during our time there.

Gotta love the Forum...if you don't know the answer, all you have to do is post a question on here and the great folks of steel/pedal steel guitar fame, are there to help. I must include the same praise for some of the finest lead guitar players who contribute on the Forum, too: Ben O'dell and Bobby Caldwell, to mention a few I have met at jams and conventions. My hat's off to each of you!

Hi Bill, I was gonna tell you about Bobby Kingston but they beat me to it. If you get to see them please tell the great Al Bruno I said. I would ask you to hug his neck for me but I don't think you would want to do that. Have a great time. db

Hi Bill, if you get to go see Bobby Kingston please, say hi to the great Al Bruno for me. He can probably tell you where Buzz is playing. Have a great time. db
