Subject: Carter - Boston Philharmonic July 4th

Ann,

James Pennebaker here. Just wanted to let you know that my Carter Steel Guitar and I will be onstage performing with The Boston Philharmonic on July 4th in Boston, MA.

This is the big 4th of July celebration that is held and televised every year. I'm not sure what network it will be on but I am sure you can find it in your local listings if you are interested.

I am told it will go out to over 6,000,000 households.

I'll perform one song with "Big & Rich" accompanied by the Orchestra and then myself, guitarist Adam Shoenfeld, John Rich and "Big" Kenny Alphin will perform a special patriotic number with the Orchestra.

Wouldn't that be the Boston Pops?

They are Boston Symphony, minus the 1st chair players,
and do all the popular music crossed with clasical shows on the 4th, usually in the shell down by the Charles River.

I could be wrong and the B. Philharmonic are stretching out these days.
If so good for them.

In any case have GREAT 4th weekend.

David is correct. It is the Boston Pops, not the Philharmonic. My bad. And yes, it is the big celebration on the Charles River. And Gretchen Wilson will be joining us as well along with "Cowboy Troy." What IS the world coming to? So I'm outta here too. On the way to Boston!

Who'd of ever thunk that a young man playing honky tonks in Dallas/Ft. Worth would eventually be travelling the world playing in bands. Now on TV with the Boston Pops. Great job bro', and much continued success. I bet you're having a ball.

Lots of luck James.

I'll be watching. I live about 80 miles from Beantown. I'd almost like to go in person,
but I can't stand crowds anymore. Woodstock [the real one in '69] did it for me with crowds.

This is gonna truly be something. I kinda like Cowboy Troy. I hope they feature you and have you up on my tv screen.

All the best.
