Hello Folks!!! Plan to join us in Mesa, Az for our 3rd Annual SWSGA Convention on Thursday,January 26, Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28, 2006. We are planning on a great time with lots of world class players, many vendors showing the latest and greatest in steel guitars and accessories. For those of you who have attended in the past, it will be at the same hotel: Holiday Inn Special Room Rates for this special event is $79 plus tax. This includes a complimentary breakfast buffet that is terrific!! Call and reserve your room early, as we expect a sellout!! Who would not want to be in the Phoenix area in January? Come and join us. We will be updating the website www.swsteelguitar.com with instructions on registration. In a nutshell, a 3 day pass for all events will be $60 for non-members and $50 for members. Then there are daily rates....mail your registration to SWSGA Thanks to all, this is shaping up to be the best show we have ever had. Keep watching for announcements. Billy Easton |

Mary and I are looking forward to being at the show and I will be playing on the program this year. I'll play a couple of Jerry Byrd tunes as my tribute to him. I put Jerry's double neck steel guitar and other memorabilia in a show case at the Convention in St. Louis this year and got a lot of nice compliments on it. If you were at the Convention and picked up one of the Convention Souvenir programs that was Jerry's guitar on the front cover with my hands. I decided to enshrine the guitar rather than play it. I also displayed his Frypan with serial number J002. See you there, Scotty |

Billy- It was great meeting you in St. Louis. I've added the Mesa show to www.steelguitarshows.com . Not sure if I will be able to make it. However, knowing Scotty will be there adds to my desire to make the drive! Scotty...I did see Jerry Byrd's guitars on display. It was humbling to see the instruments that made so much recording history. A lot of thought went in to the program cover. All of us at Mullen Guitars are looking forward to this show. There is just something nice about getting out of the cold of winter in Colorado and heading to the sun of Arizona. This show in the past has been first class and it is put on by some first class people. I encourage you all to try and make this show this year, it sounds like it is shaping up to be a good one. There are not many shows out West and there are many steeler's in the area, so we are honored to support a good cause. With continued support this could turn out to be one of the best shows yet. The people of the SWSGA are working hard to provide us with a good show. So make your reservations and come see us, as well as, Carter and MSA, and many other vendors, and a top lineup of players. We have booked some really great talent for our big show and if you miss this one, you will be sorry!!! And we like to brag about the January weather in Arizona, usually you can look for daytime temps in the 70s...that will feel good to most folks when they have frozen their tails off!!! Come and join in the fun. Jim...yep, the Fall Jam is on for the afternoon of November 5 and all day on November 6. It will be great to see you again.
