Amber Digby 's New CD Album To Be Released

Heart of Texas Records will release its latest project from new
traditionalist Amber Digby on Saturday, July 22. The album titled "Here
Come The Teardrops" is already getting rave reviews from music critics.

The album release party will be held at the Heart of Texas Country Music
Museum in Brady, Texas. The event will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at
1701 South Bridge Street.

Several special guests will be in attendance including the albums producer
Justin Trevino along with Darrell and Mona McCall, Frankie Miller and
songwriter Guyanne McCall among others.
"Here Come The Teardrops" is Digby's second album and the first on Heart of
Texas Records.

"I am so excited to be on Heart of Texas Records along with so many of my
heroes including Leona Williams, Ferlin Husky, Norma Jean and of course my
uncle Darrell (McCall)," Digby said. "We are so excited about the
potential of this new project and are looking forward to having it out for
the fans of traditional country."

Digby puts her unique style on some great country classics including
"Hinges On The Door", "If You Were Me", "Bitter They Are", "Jealously
Insane", "Just In Case" and "If Anyone Oughta Know."

Digby's father Dennis Digby played bass for Country Music Hall of Famer
Loretta Lynn for over a decade. Digby honors Lynn by recording "Another Man
Loved Me Last Night" and "A Man I Hardly Know."

Heart of Texas Recording Artist Justin Trevino also lends his vocal talents
to the project by recording the George Jones standard "Flame In My Heart"
with Digby.

"Amber and I really enjoy working together," Trevino said. "We usually go
out and each do a solo set and then get back together in the end and do a
string of those classic duets from Conway and Loretta, George and Tammy, and
Bill Anderson and Jan Howard. Amber is the real deal and one of few female
vocalist doing hard core honky tonk country."

Digby also calls on McCall and Trevino's writing skills and adds "Weak In
The Knees", "Losers Game", and "Moment of Weakness."

"Just a little over a year ago, Justin Trevino introduced me to the voice of
a young lady that would soon become my favorite new Country Female Singer,"
Country Legend Leona Williams said in the liner notes. " I'm speaking of
Amber Digby. She has the voice that Real Country Music Fans have been
waiting for. When Amber sings a classic Country song or a new song, she
steals the show for all the rest. Listen to "Here Comes The Teardrops" and
you will know what I mean. Best wishes Amber from your biggest fan."

The Musicians inlcude Justin Trevino on Rhythm Guitar, Jake Hooker on
upright bass, Dicky Overbey on steel guitar & dobro, Jim Loessberg on drums,
Ronnie Huckabee on piano, Bobby Flores on fiddle and Dave Biller on lead
guitar.

Leona Williams, Justin Trevino & Amber Digby are featured on harmony vocals.

Digby has been featured on several international country music festivals
including Sweden, Australia and has just returned from a tour on Norway.

Amber Digby "Here Come The Teardrops" is available from music outlets that

I'm very anxious to hear this new CD. I enjoy Amber's first, and I've seen her "live", and it's exciting to hear someone young sing with such heart and drive! Once again, the "real" Country Music state of Texas takes notice first...I'd sure love to see this artist break wide open in to the major air waves of "New Country" across America; with the right blend of yesterday's heart and current appeal. Good luck, Amber!

Laney

P.S. Oh, and that's also pretty good company you're keeping!

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. But, I do know of several new artist that have made the top of the charts with a traditional type country song, but subsequent songs are more and more new country until they sound like everybody else.

But, we all know, being a good singer don't get you on top 40 country FM stations. If it was based on the quality of the singer, people like Jack Greene, Connie Smith, etc... would still be there. On pop stations, you'll hear Tony Bennett as much as new people, but today's country seems to always be looking for something new.

It's all about money. I admit, if I played music for a living, I'd do whatever made me the most money. I hope it never comes to that.

Don't mean to highjack the Amber Digby thread. That's just my $0.02. Thank God that the Texas guys are keeping real country alive and well.

Amber's father, Dennis was my roomate for several years when I was with Loretta. I remember Amber when she was a baby. I never would have imagined her to grow up and be such a great vocalist. She's the real thing! I'm anxious to hear this new project. Her first one was really super.

As long as Amber hangs with her current crowd we have nothing to worry about.

Janice, glad you are showing insterest in Amber Digby. I've known Amber since she was a little girl. Her dad Dennis Digby played bass in Loretta Lynn's band with me for sixteen years. I have been involved in music for sixty years, and played lead guitar in Loretta's band twenty seven years. I have help co-produce Loretta's records in the studio many times. Also Her and Conway. What I'm trying to say is I think I know a little about music. So in my opinion Amber is the best female singer by far than any girl out there. Amber opened the Christmas 4 Kids concert last November with Charlie Daniels at the Ryman Auditorium. We put together a 12 piece band for her. E-mail me some time and I'll give you more information on Amber. Dave Thornhill
