I'm adding left knee levers LKL and LKR to my old Sho-Bud S-10. Is there a standard layout or position for attaching the lever mounts? For example, does there exist a specification or diagram showing their exact location? All I've been able to do so far is study and measure (very roughly) the position of knee lever brackets from photographs of the undersides of instruments posted on the Internet. That's only a bit better than guessing. Thanks in advance for any help on this. Rob Hamilton ------------------ Sho-Bud Pro-I, '62 Fender Vibrolux |

This is only a suggestion because it is probably very subjective. I would place LKL between pedals 2 and 3 and closer to three; with the knee lever just as far rearward as possible. Place LKR about half way between pedals 5 and 6 and about 1 and 1/2" forward of the rear apron. Good luck and God bless you in your quests, carl |

Thank you Carl. I've experimented a bit with LKL and the trouble I'm having is its interference with my leg when I press only pedal 1. I have a tough time limiting all motion to my left ankle, and my knee swings out a bit, hitting the lever, especially if it's mounted too close to center. I'm sure that part of the challenge is to modify my leg technique, but it's proving difficult.Because it's a Pro-I, the guitar has a narrow apron -- not much space. So far I've assumed that LKL will be mounted on the apron, whereas LKR will be mounted with the reversal bracket, just inside the apron. Thanks again, Rob

Rob,You are NOT alone with the problem of engaging the A pedal and NOT have LKL get in the way. And sadly, as I age, it seems to be getting worse, ie, I can't move my ankle far enough and my knee has to do the rest. This of course is the problem. Sadly, I do not have an anser for this. I have watched Buddy Emmons tilt his left foot in a fashion that mine just will NOT do. But then there is only one Buddy. carl |

Thanks a lot Carl,I guess this is your sneaky way of making me realize I'm aging a little. Ray------------------ Steeling is still legal in Arizona
