I use the single wrap ProPick #1. I really like these picks over the Nationals or Dunlops. JMO |

Most of the time I don't play with picks, but I found their FingerTone picks are the only ones I feel comfortable using at all. Their metal-plastic thumb pick is pretty good too. Doesn't stick out too far and also doesn't twist on or smash your thumb. |

I was a diehard National user until I found the ProPik Reso, single-wrap, nickle picks. They feel and sound like the old Nationals, but the angle is just right for me. I like using them on my pedal steel and on my reso guitar.------------------ Lee, from South Texas Down On The Rio Grande |

Anybody try the PP split wraps and the John Pearse splits for comparison? There's a pretty good price difference and I've been having a hard time deciding which to try. ----oooops......my mistake----I confused the Pearse high-riders with split wraps. Jon, I paid $5.00 per pair of Reso's, at that price if a person doesn't like them you're not out much. The last Rob Roy I bought at a supper club cost more than that.------------------ SUAS U' PHIOB Geo

George--you are absolutely correct---sometimes I get hung up on trying to make change for a penny. In fact I'm going to order both ProPiks and John Pearse (which I know some forum folk swear by) from Elderly and decide for myself. |

This seemed like an half appropriate place to ask about something I've been wondering about. The Jeff Newman picks. They look very long and look like they can wrap just beyond the nail. I'm not sure if that would be more comfortable or not. I'm using Kysers at this point. They're OK, but I'm definitely up for some experimenting with other ones that are being suggested here. The picks on the website mentioned above look interesting.Bob P.[This message was edited by Robert Porri on 30 January 2004 at 10:08 PM.] [This message was edited by Robert Porri on 30 January 2004 at 10:09 PM.] |

Thought I'd use this old thread instead of creating a new one. Ok, ProPiks. Got 'em. LOVE 'em! I'm still experimenting, but the small/medium split in nickel/silver mediums are working best for me. COMFY! And these are the 1st picks I've had that stay comfortable no matter how long they're on & once they're adjusted, I fuss with them no more. Me happy. |

I use the split silvers and the brass PP. I also have the Jeff Newman picks. I get a different tone out of each. The PP are really comfortable and there is never a problem with the picks loosening on my fingers. There is a difference in the guage between the PP and the JN picks. Picks are one thing I can afford. So, instead of a new axe, I buy new picks. I do like the little, round, black boxes that come with the PP. |

Love the Propicks. #1 Brass. Regular on the middle finger; split on the index. And that cool case is great, especially since I dont use 33mm film anymore ------------------ Ken Drost steelcrazy after all these years
