The seat I had was good, I just decided I wanted better. I put an order in to Dana at allsteelguitar.com for a burgundy Walker seat, cloth top with sidecar on the keyhead side. Now even though the delivery took a week longer than estimated, it came way faster than waiting times I've seen posted on here for custom seats (which mine was), so it came FAST, as far as I'm concerned.
When Ray told me it was on its way he said it looks "boss". I can do better than that: It looks TRUCK, HANDSOME, BULLETPROOF, you get the idea. Can't post pics yet but I need to make the effort as Uall need to see this bad boy.

Ok, now I sit my tukus down on it to see if it does what it's supposed to do. IMO, this is like a Benz seat. Feels firm at 1st, then after a long period, (over an hr.) I didn't notice anything other than my (ahem) playing. It's like baby bear's bed for lack of a better description.

Now, inspecting the cargo area. This is the good part. To Walker seat owners especially with the sidecar this is no biggie, but this blew me away:
Ray told me that it had adjustable panels, as I now see the two small ones are, the two large ones aren't. (edited here; I got the panels turned around) This is an excellent touch, as though it swallows all my accessories with much room to spare, you can adjust with no rattling around. Also, the compartments are lined with nice dark blue crushed velour (sp?). Gear's stylin' now. But here's where the rubber met the road with me: On 1st glance the sidecar has latches front & back. Didn't understand that at 1st, then after a "duh" I saw that the sidecar lid is hinged to the end, OPENS OUT FLAT which becomes an absolutely dandy "sundries" tray. Perfect for keeping the winder & sidecuts handy. That is just too cool, let alone the extra compartment(s) the sidecar provides. That pegged "above & beyond" IMO.

So Ray hit a homer, bases loaded. Looks, "sitability", utility, & customer service, it's ALL there.

Seriously I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words. I enjoyed evey minute of building it special for you. I was just a bit PO'd when the first sheet of material arrived and was so damaged I couldn't use it. UPS at their best again I suppose. But all's well that ends well and the end on this was a good one. Thanks again Rex.
