What's a Z lever/pedal? |

I believe that's the knee lever that Bobbe Seymour uses in his two knee lever system. It is designed to be used in conjunction with the pedals as well as the knee lever that lowers the E's. For this system to work properly, the "Z" lever needs to be on the opposite knee from the one that lowers the E's. |

It lowers the second string a half step, Eb to D. Raises 7 a whold step, F# to G#, and lowers 9 a half step, D to C#. |

The "Z" lever is on LKR, the E's are lowered with RKL, and I don't know about the third lever. I would probably raise the E's to F with it. |

There is a standard lever that lowers the second string to D. Many people also lower the 9th string to C# on the same lever. The 7th string raise (F# to G#) is a fairly common change today. It was made popular by Paul Franklin. I have it on a pedal, and I use it mostly for a country sound effect. I often use the 9th string lower to C# with string 7 unaltered. Having them ganged together on a single knee lever would be very inconvenient for me. I like having them separated. It's more versatile, and my levers aren't as stiff.------------------
