In another post Tom Olson has asked what equipment the Steelers on "The Byrds" "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" album used.

Here is a direct response from Lloyd:

quote:

"While I'm unsure of J.D.'s set-up mine was the following.
On all of the Nashville recording dates I played through my Black Face 1965 Fender Deluxe, with one 12" D-120F JBL speaker. This includes "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" and "Hickory Wind".

"One Hundred Years From Now" which we cut at Columbia Studios in Hollywood was recorded through a studio Fender Twin with two "stock" 12" speakers.

All of the songs on which I appear I played my Sho-Bud finger tip tuner double-neck steel. On the one song cut in Nashville on which I played dobro, it was a Sho-Bro I had borrowed from Shot Jackson for the occasion."

Thanks Lloyd.

I'll be playing "You Ain't Going Nowhere" tonight and tomorrow at a Neil Cotton gig.
I'll be thinking of you, since I've lifted your solos off that 1968 record.
