I'm thinking that ain't the original color. Pretty scary that someone did that to a push pull.

I love the sound of an Emmons push-pull guitar but that color would send me running the other way.

There was a guy around the Los Angeles area years ago who used to play one like that. I can't remember his name but he was a little guy and played mostly around the Norwalk, Downey area and did most of his playing on the inside neck. He told me once that it had been made for Weldon Myrick....JH

Carco Clave has (had?) one that was pink. It originally belonged to Delores Hancock as far as I can recall. You could laugh about the color all you wanted but once you heard it... It sounded 'blacker' than most black ones I've heard!

I like it, I'd play it, and I believe my Emmons ownership credentials speak for themselves. If I didn't already have 5 Emmons guitars, I'd consider bidding.

I played Carco's pink steel, incidentally, and Chris is right on... it honks.

I like it too? I remember there was a Zum some years back that had a similar color scheme and I thought that was cool too but what do I know as I always liked Bernardo's shirt color in "West Side Story"..

Jerry Hayes,
Are you thinking of John Frye? A friend of mine here in Los Angeles thought that this Emmons might have been John or Jon Frye's old guitar. After all, how many could they have made?

The color is original from Emmons. There is another one exactly like it in Rhode Island owned by Tony Poccia

I don't think I would want to get stuck in an elevator with the guy that owns that one.

Need a couple fuzzy dice hanging from the keyhead, some curb feelers, and some of those spinning rims for it and it'd be complete!!!

But again, maybe that's just me!

Nick.............

I think someone did a "PhotoShop" color change on that photo. Beings that I am somewhat effective with "PhotoShop", I can make any part of the photo meet MY demands !!

(IMHO) I think this photo is a fake.
