Since we're on the subject, I would like to announce that I've officially ordered my new D10 Rains steel. I have not had a chance to sit down with Gary Carpenter and work out the details (color, pickups, setup), but I'm really excited to say the least. I'll be happy to have a second steel to leave setup at home (I'm keeping my LeGrande). I'll keep you guys posted.

Chris, Ricky, et al- I think a puke green Rains would even sound outstanding! I've been truly impressed with my 6 month old Rains D10 w/E66's. By the way, I once owned a puke green Marlen that sounded good, but I really like a BLACK Rains!

Fred yours may be a killer but you have seen parts of mine that Bob is building for me and I do think you will have the second in line as a killer IMHO.....

Hi Charlie, good to see you out and about sir. Yes, I have seen parts of your new Rains and you will for sure lead the race in the looks dept. But hey, second is not a bad place to be.

Fred its OK to be in first for the looks now if you will just put some of your talent into my new guitar so I could be second in that department I would have the best of both worlds

Charlie, if yours is the blue lacquer cabinet, I saw it at Bob Rains' shop a couple of weeks ago. That is the most gorgeous cabinet I've ever seen.

Bob that indeed is the one. I hope it will be sent out real soon as I can hardly wait to start playing it. Bob Rains is one of the best in the business as far as I'am conserned as he built this guitar the way I wanted. I did not have to make any changes to what I wanted. All Bob ever said was it only takes money we can build it any way you want it. In my world it just does not get any better than that. Plus it is one the best guitars around in my humble opinion.
