Looking for the size of the nylon tuners that are on the 83-85 Pedal Steels. I might have to take a rod out , and go to the hardware if i cannot get the info here!I have sent emails to Duane Marrs , but, I understand they are in the process of moving to Mt. Juliet Tn. and no answers. When i get the size i will order about 24 tuners from the Marrs site. Any Forum members have this info? Sonny, call richard at Spirit Steel Guitar in Broken Arrow, Ok. He has every size available in stock, as he is a Geo. L's dealer. He'll ship them out immediately. His number is: 918-258-7830[This message was edited by Curt Langston on 15 September 2005 at 03:40 PM.] [This message was edited by Curt Langston on 15 September 2005 at 03:41 PM.] |

All i want is the size of the threads from a Marrs owner. Surely i can get that info.I did find out from Spirit Steel Guitar in Broken Arrow. Ok. that the size was a 1/8 or 3/32. I am leaning toward 1/8. Any comments? I went go to the Hardware but they did not have sizes that small to match anything up with what i have. |

The best thing is to call Duane Marrs. They may be moving but probably still have phone service. If you are going to order some from him, you need to contact him anyway. I was in Nashville late August and a talked to a friend of Duane's that picks with him occasionally and he didn't say anything about them moving?? |

The nylon tuners I have seen don’t have threads. The pull rods cut the threads as the tuners are screwed in, so any new nylon tuners should work. |

Larry, that helps, but when i called Spirit Steel Guitar, they said my tuners are either 1/8 or 3/32, and he wanted to know which one i had? ????????????????????? |

Call Duane Marrs. I talked to him earlier this week. He is in the process of moving his shop but keep trying and you'll catch him eventually. |

All the nylon tuners I have seen don't have any threads cut into them at all.You cut the threads as you put the tuner(nylon) on the rod. It takes a bit of pressure to thread it the first time, but after that it works perfectly there-after. (IMHO) This is best as a small difference in thread dosen't make any difference. The tuner is automaticly forced to mate with the pedal rod. ------------------ http://home.comcast.net/~crookwf/ http://photobucket.com/albums/v479/billcrook/ |
