Andy; Thanks for the post-tab. On the way to my friday gigs, I always listen to Jazz Live At The RiverFront on Public Radio. This last weekend they had a tribute to Django and they mentioned that Nuage was his greatest hit ever. It was a very interesting program and in fact I was late setting up/tuning because I didn't want to miss any of it. Thanks Again !!

Regards, Paul

Do you have any songs Tabed for the pedal steel?
I grew up listening to that music, my father played guitar and was in England in WW 2 and followed the Twin Club of Hot France, I think he has all their Records. Any response would be great

Sorry, Kent, I'm strictly a non-pedal player. There are a lot of better musicians than me here on the forum who could probably help you out with an E9th or C6th pedal version.

Kent Lee---the above tab will lay on the E9 as strings

5------
6------
7------
8------
10------

with A & B pedals down. Or string 9 lowered D>C# instead of 10, if you have the lever.

For my own use and probably more to see if I could do it, I have Nuages for PSG E9th with the usual pedal notations. A few spots were hard to plot out but if anyone is interested, I'll e-mail it to them. BTW I still cannot get incomine e-mail so post here if you want it.

Thanks for the cool tab Andy! I wasn't familiar with this tuning, but it's nice the way it's so close to C6th. Is this another often used tuning on 6 string lap? Do you know who first started using it and what style is it used most for, jazz?
P.S. You da Man!

Jesse, A6th tuning was used by Leon McAuliffe, Herb Remington and a lot of other Western Swing players. It was often matched on a double neck with E13th. Hawaiian players, like Billy Hew Len, used it too. The Hawiians also lowered the bass strings to get the B11th tuning: E,C#,A,F#, D#, C#, A, B.
