I am new at reading tabs. Just what do the different symbols and letters mean?

Thanks a bunch!

the number is the fret location like 3b would be string 3 pedal b, look at the numbers too the left for string number any number to the right is fret, the A is for pedal A, if you have the emmons set up then that would be the first pedal on left, if its day set up then it would be on the far right of a 3 pedal guitar. the letters A,B,C are the pedals, letters D,c#,F,G are knees again depending on your setup and perference.
on mine lkl (left knee left) is raise or F level raises strings 4 and 8. lkr) left knee right) is D level, lowers strings 4 and 8, rkl (right knee left is to me G level it raises string 1 to G# and lowers string 6 to F#. then rkr would be lower string two too c#, again this could change depending on your set up but i hope you get the picture as how to read it, get some Jeff newman material it will help alot along with the rest of instruction on the market. Joe
