I was listening to a Robby Turner CD last night, and he played what sounded like a simple ascending scale that split. On the second note you could hear the tones go both up and down. I'm sure it has to do with a knee lever, but I can't seem to find the right combination. Anyone care to share an example? Thanks. |

From Rebel & Ricky's site: This is one of the best known examples - some people call it the 'Emmons Cross' ((G) (D) 1.______________________|____________|________20_____| 2._13L(whole)~13__14~~~~|_~15~~~~~___|________20_____| 3.______________________|____________|_20~~~~________| 4.______________________|____________|_20L~20_____20~| 5._13a~~~~~~~~13~~~~~~~~|_~15~_15a~15|____________20a| 6.________________14~14b|_~15b_15b~~~|_______________| 7.______________________|____________|_______________| (G) 1.________________|____________________ 2.________________|____________________ 3.________________|____________________ 4._~20L__~15~~13L~|~10~________________ 5._~20___~15~~13~~|~10~a__10a~~13~14~15 6.________________|_______10b~~13~14~15 It's Buddy Emmons' intro to Touch My Heart in 1966. ------------------ Larry Bell - email: larry@larrybell.org - gigs - Home Page 2000 Fessenden S-12 8x8, 1969 Emmons S-12 6x6, 1971 Emmons D-10 9x9, 1971 Dobro |

Wod! This is a neat lick. I've also heard it but couldn't figure it out. |
