Been away from the Steel for awhile..anyway was trying to figure out some way of playing a note that's ascending while another note is decending like Buddy plays in his solo on "The Preacher" or like on "At E's". Came up with this ,which is along those lines but not quite like Buddy. Anybody got anything closer? I'm sure there's lots of ways to do it. Todd; Here's some tab from At E's. It was part of a thread from May 1999. This isn't an "Official" version, but works for me.

I tried this last night and it worked pretty good. The notes aren't exact, but are close. Skip; The tab above is the first part to At E's. Like I said, it's not official, (it didn't come from Buddy,) but it's what I play for it. (For all I know it might be right, too...)The first four bars are now "official"! ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif) ------------------ My best, Ernie The Official Buddy Emmons Website www.buddyemmons.com[This message was edited by Ernie Renn on 28 November 2002 at 02:48 PM.] |

Ernie, thanks for posting "At E's". I've been trying to figure that out for years! ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/confused.gif) Never thought of tipping the bar for melody & pickin open strings at the same time. It's Emmons...what can you say! Thanks! ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/biggrin.gif) |
