Ok I did this up for a friend..and he wanted the intro; and fills in the chorus and outro...for the steel playing Mike Johnson on Darrell Singletary's version of "I never go around Mirrors" .......so I thought I would plop it up here for all to have if you need it.
Mike Johnson lowers his 5th string a whole tone on the E9th tuning and raises his 1st string a Whole tone.
Have fun.

Wow, thanks Ricky. How have you been. I would love to hear you pick again.

I posted the intro a while back. I didn't have a clue that Mike had a whole tone lower on the 5th string. I was accomplishing the same thing with a 2nd string half tone raise then release, then a 2nd string whole tone lower with 2 independent knee levers. It sounds the same as yours but much harder to play.

http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum8/HTML/001468.html

I could just use my vertical lever that has the 5th string lowered a half tone and adjust it to a whole tone lower. Do you know where Mike has that lever on his guitar?

Best regards,
Terry

Terry:
Quite possible Mike has that change on what has become known as the "Franklin" pedal, 4th pedal that lowers 5, 6 and 10 a whole tone.
