BillHere's something kind of close. Some of those 3-note chords may only be 2 strings, but this will get you in the ballpark. Timing-wise, the first three measures are slow triplets. Chords are F-Bb-C. There's an Am thrown in on the chorus. Other than that, it's a straight I-IV-V chord progression. I've been going back through the Forum archives and came across this tab, found a copy of the record, what a great song! I especially like how it is totally out of place on the "Some Girls" album. Thanks for sharing this tab! It might have been discussed extensively already but, I have not seen it mentioned recently, it turns out Ron Wood played pedal-steel on this song and has been playing it on some of the more recent tours. "We aren't using a pull-string or a lot of slide right now, but Ron plays pedal steel, a bit on 'Shattered' and 'Far Away Eyes'. Country music's a part of the way we do that kind of thing, and it comes through even if it's done with straight guitars sort of pulling up against each other." - Keith Richards, 1982 http://www.timeisonourside.com/SOFaraway.html Note: This was a reply to a post from last year.[This message was edited by John Lockney on 04 March 2005 at 05:42 PM.]
