Anyone have some cool riffs involving the A&F lever on the E9th neck that they wouldn't mind sharing? :-) |

Here's another little diddy from D(5 chord) back to G(1 chord).

And a move from G to G or G/D/G; starting off your beautiful ballad solo with.
You'll notice a slant to the 11th fret with the bottom string of the grouping, so go for it...ha.

OH and I have about 20 more with using the "F" lever(4th&8th string raise half tone); but then I'll have to start charging...ha.....   Just kiddin'; have fun with it.

great stuff
On that very last one, if you don't have the string 6 lower, you can get it using string 7 with a raise (which a lot of people have on LKV). It won't sound as good though, as you lose get the 'moving' effect. |

I'm going to get that lower installed on my "new" Sho Bud, when it arrives in the mail. Maybe a compensator too.The stork is going to show up at my door wearing a stetson hat, boots, pulling a dolly with a PSG case on it :-) The stork will then spit out his copenhagen and ask me to sign to acknowledge receipt of the package. Once I sign, the stork will say "see y'all", hop back into his 4x4 dually, fire up the diesel engine and rattle off :-) Seriously, I'm surprised that more people haven't chimed in on F-lever riffs. Isn't the F lever a standard thing with PSG's that have at least 4 knee levers? I am a novice PSG player, yet I've been exposed to the usefulness of the F lever already. |

Probably not the everyday use for the E-F lever, but still
The E-F lever can be used to get a half stop feel on the C pedal. It works on all my all-pull guitars, not sure about push-pull guitars.One has to be a little bit gentle on the Cpedal to feel when the 4th string raise of the Cpedal hits the raisefinger(halfstop)but it is well worth it IMO since there is a bunch of fun stuff to find usig that technique.
Hold E to F lever in all the time. The C* in the tab means halfstop pedal!!!! 1------------------------------------------------------8--------------------

The F lever gives access to the b5 if one wants a minor pentatonic scale while staying at the same fret.Example 2 octaves of an E minor pentatonic scale w/b5. Notes = Root b3 4 b5 5 b7, or E G A Bb B D

If you mean the example that starts on 8th fret, goes to 6th fret and 1st fret and back to 8th fret. Not key of C even if I'm on the 8th fret.
It is a turnaround/intro type thing that goes E7 (8th fret), D7 (6th fret), A7(1st fret) and back to E7.Just make sure to follow the instructions about the half pedal otherwise it will sound, hmmmmmmm different.[This message was edited by Bengt Erlandsen on 25 October 2004 at 10:49 AM.] |
