I can't figure out how the first part of the intro is done, (leading up to the D7 chord)

It has a 7th sound to it but I'm beating my head against the wall trying to find it and we're playing it next Saturday.

Someone help me please!!

Key of D.
use strings 3,5&6
First position are fret 10,
then 10 with A&B pedals,
fret 13
fret 15 with A&B off and on a couple of times.
There`S a little slide up to fret 17 with pedals down.

Good Luck.

Thanks so much, Dag. I can't believe it was this big of a struggle for something so relatively simple.

To my ears (fingers and feet), one should use the B&C pedals in the begining and then switch to the A&B combination. It makes the intro much easier to play.

It is on string 3 5 6 and never goes above string 6 in the whole intro, and some nice slides, even from the 10 fret to the third just before the harmonics and the fiddle
