I've looked and looked, but it seems nobody has tabbed out the solo on this yet...any takers? Would be much appreciated!!

Sandy, I tabbed this out many moons ago - no guarantee on the accuracy, but it might get you in the ballpark. Hey, maybe Paul can add his comments if he has the time, to show me how far off I was!

Hi Paul,I looked and can't locate this CD - probably lost long ago to another bandmember... Anyway, maybe there's a forumite out there that might have this and could post the solo clip?

I have the tablature for this song exactly as Paul taught it on a "talk tape" that he was selling years ago. I'll be glad to post it, but only if Paul says it's ok. |

Here is my take on this (I sat down and tried working it out myself -- hope this works)...the only part I can't figure out is how he played that last lick at the end of the solo, landing on the G chord...it sounds bluesier than pedaling on the 5th fret...

I'm not by my steel but i'm pretty sure
thers an E lower (knee lever) at the first fret in there.
In the beginning of the solo, when your doing your thing on the first fret,engage the E lower knee lever on the 5th pass only. Before moving up to the 3rd fret.

OH, cool....I heard the difference, but didn't know exactly what it was....what is the lick at the end, before it goes to the 3rd fret? I left it blank because I can't figure out how he gets the bluesy sound (pedaling on the 5th fret doesn't seem right) |

Does anybody know the last lick at the end of the solo, right before it settles on the G at the third fret? I left it blank on my tab above; seems simple, but for some reason I can't figure it out...might be just a bar inflection...or maybe a half pedal on the fifth fret? Goes pretty fast, and was hoping somebody out there has the answer...otherwise, guess I'll hafta get myself downstairs and figger it out....I know, I know....the warm weather makes me feel LAZY![This message was edited by Sandy Martin on 25 April 2005 at 07:47 AM.] |
