I really dont know what I have it looks like a fender about a 50 model 4 pedals and the pedal bar go on the left 2 legs. Has the round keys good shape and looks like tele like pickups they do work as do the pedals not sure that someone didnt take a old fender and changed it to pedals but did a great job looks like a factory job will trade or sell some of the parts alone have to be worth some bucks. There is no case it would be nice as a non pedal but has the 4 legs and 4 pedals if serious I will send some photos 400.00 plus shipping and this thing really looks good sure it needs some work one knob I think it is the tone doesnt work but the other does change the volume. Thanks ------------------ [This message was edited by Bill Taft on 08 January 2005 at 09:21 PM.] |

Thanks Denny save me a lot of work sending pictures to all the folks that have mailed me I think I have mailed about 60 photos already but I do think someone will grab this and make a great non pedal out of it. ------------------ |

My pleasure, Bill. Since I don't think this is a Fender Steel, but one that someone made apparantly rather well from Fender parts, please remove my name from the Buyer prospects list. I wish I could afford to buy it for the example of Individual instrument building ingenuity that it appears to be (and hope for some exceptional mojo I suspect it has); But alas, I can't afford to presently. Please email me when the Steel sells so I can clear the pictures webpage. Thank You, [This message was edited by Denny Turner on 11 January 2005 at 02:44 AM.] |

I need to mention that I have a older brown tolex case that I could use a little help with I just dont know what it fits I did ask a friend about it and he thought it was a early 60's fender steel case has the orange/reddish inside brown leather handle and on each end it is brown leather I know it is not for the frankensteel, but maybe someone could help me on what it fits and what it might be worth it is in really good cond. and original. Thanks-dim. are--outside-40x181/2x6 inside--37x171/2 x3 the 3 is the inside bottom to the lip of the bottom, and there is some wear not bad inside right front corner where you can see about a inch of the board. By the way thanks Kevin for the name of the steel Frankensteel fits it well and the guy that built Frankenstein was a genious, but touched a might in the movie.I want to thank each one who has tried to help. Bill, You might consider listing the case in a separate posting. I think you'd get more traffic that way. Aloha, |
