Hello all,

Here is my updated ad for my upright bass with measurements and pictures of the instrument. Feel free to guide folks to this post. They can contact me at jason_a_weaver@yahoo.com.

It is a 2003 Meinel 3/4 bass. It has a solid top, laminated maple back & sides, and ebony fretboard, nut, and tailpiece.

Upper body – 20 in
Lower body – 26 in
Body depth – 9 in
Body length – 45 in
Overall length – 72 in
Scale length – 41 in
Fretboard length – 33.75 in

The bass is $3400 new and I also have had the neck stripped, and added an adjustable bridge and Pirastro Obligato strings. I also have a super deluxe padded soft case that cost $250, and a German bass bow that was $495.

Everything was bought from KC Strings in Kansas City, and they also did the finish stripping on the neck and carved the new bridge. I will also include a soft case for the bow, and a couple cans of Pop's Bass Rosin.

The bass has only about 8 hours of play time on it, and is in the exact same condition as when I bought it. Actually, you could say it is better with the extras I had them add. It is a brand new bass.

The price is $2399. All shipping, packaging, and insurance will be the responsibility of the buyer. I know a great freight company that I have used for upright bass in the past. They will build a custom crate for it and ship it themselves!

Any marks that appear to be on the bass are just reflection and/or flash from the camera.

Thank you all in advance.

Jason

I am really needing to sell this. I just found out that my potential job just fell through. I am now getting married in 26 days, I am unemployed, and I have no direction or leads on anything else.

I would appreciate any help I can get on spreading the word about this bass, and any prayers you can send my way on the behalf of my job search and ability to provide for my soon-to-be-wife.

Thank you,

Jason
