Magnatone six string. It has a gumby headstock and the "invisble pickup". It is in excellent condition (one knob is not original)and includes a tweed hard case. $300 plus shipping. Remington Playboy 8 string w/legs and hard case. $650 plus shipping. I can E-mail pictures. Stephen |

Wish I was in a position to get your Remington -- that's a GREAT price for a rare guitar. Al |

I can't believe somebody hasn't snatched that Remington up. That's an incredible price for a great guitar. Cheaper than a new one without the accessories, and no wait! ------------------ |

Why did Herb go from 595.00 without legs or case, to 750.00 without legs or case? At the original price you still got the economy tuning machines. Does the new Playboy at 750.00 have any upgrades that I am not aware of? I have had a Playboy in the past and liked it very much. I just can't see the additional 150.00. |

The only reason I can figure is supply and demand. I love mine, and got it last fall at the old price. I don't know if I'd have gotten it at the $700, or just gone for the Steelmaster. |

I am also curious as to the increase on the Playboy but, not on the other models. I suspect that supply and demand is at work. I waited 4 months for mine and had time to work up a lot of stuff on my reso (Tut Taylor Virginian) and now I have decided to stay with six strings. I have the Magnatone but would prefer a longer scale (like the reso). The Lapking Rodeo looks like it was made for me. Stephen |

Bumping a great guitar. Someone should buy it, then trade it to me for my BMI. ------------------ |

I'm not getting any bites at $300 for the Magnatone that I paid $350 for. Did I pay too much? Stephen |

Stephen, when you and I last emailed about the Magnatone, I showed the pictures you sent me to my guitar teacher, who has probably bought and sold a hundred lap steels over the past few years. He thought somewhere in the $250 - $275 range was about the right value. For anyone reading this post, however, it is a beautiful lap steel and looks to be in great condition. |
