Modified/rebuilt National double eight lap steel. When I got this it had been routed for cable changers and pedals at both headstocks and suffered other abuse. Read on. Body was stripped, filled in, and refinished "Sea Foam Green". All parts are original except...new tuner buttons, replacement wiring harness and vol/tone pots/switch. Center control plate was trashed and has been replaced by a new chrome-plated one with the original knobs and switch. New metal jackplate. New "Sea Foam Green" string and bridge covers. There is no logo or serial number plate. Included is a new "Fabrique au Chine" black padded keyboard gig bag that is a near-perfect fit. This was a test with a new woodworker/painter to see how he could do before I turned him loose on some vintage Fender steels. Set up A6 on the outside neck, E13 on the inside. 23" scale. $550 plus FedEx. No trades. USA and Japan only. |

The listing plainly states "USA AND JAPAN ONLY". Manual clearing with ledger entries and several correspondent banks involved, each charging a fee, means at least $75.00 in processing fees and a six to eight week wait before the "foreign" funds are posted. Only then do I know how much it cost me and what I actually get to keep. Wire transfer incoming from the UK will cost me $100.00. I am not going to eat those fees and based on twenty years of shipping thousands of records and hundreds of guitars to the UK from 1966 to the mid-1980's I know the buyer won't either. End of story. |
