Last Sunday night in Lake Placid, New York there was a Brooks and Dunn Concert. There were a few other acts playing, but I forget right now off the top of my head who they were. My family went to it,but I really didn't have the time so I told them to just tell me about it. Well I'm glad I didn't go, out of the three acts there was no steel guitar! This makes me very mad, I love the sound of steel guitar and I still haven't seen one played yet in a live concert in my area, except for Alan Jackson. What do the rest of you forum members think of this situation?

I thought Troy Klontz was with B&D. Is this old information? IMWTK.

B&D with no steel is what I call getting short changed. Hard to imagine.

That happened to me the only time I went to see Conway Twitty. Oh, and Hag was a no show on that same gig. George "No Show" Jones was the only saving grace. He put on a good show.

Chris,

You were very wrongly informed! The line up was Montgomery Gentry Lonestar and then Brooks and Dunn. ALL THREE ACTS have a steel guitar. MG's steel player is Randy Sorrells, a great player from the Atlanta area, I play steel for lonestar and Troy still plays for B&D. Who ever told you that there was not a steel guitar must nothave payed very close attention to the show.

They all have Steels, the real question should be did they get to play? Most of the songs all the artist mentioned are laced with good steel playing.I couldn't have Imagined such an all out change unless there was a "Steel Strike".Sounds like someone didn't have good seats.
