Clell Summey played what appeared to be a modified lap steel as a part of his comedy act. He got a lot of unusual chords and sounds as a part of his comedic performance, but when he played a straight song he got a very good sound from the instrument. His name for it, as a part of his comedy act, was " The 'Ole Biscuit Board"! Several of you pros probably worked with him,and others have enjoyed his comedy and steel work. Please share with us your knowledge of this unusual instrument and the Opry performances of Mr. Summey.

Thanks, Butch Foster

The last time I heard and saw Cousin Jody, he was playing a Gibson 6 string lap steel like I once owned. I got it in the early 50's but I'm not sure of the model number.
Uff-Da!
