I became a Delbert McClinton fan when I first saw him on the Imus in The Morning show when they started showing it on MSNBC. Our little four piece band started playing some of his songs for the line dancers. “Old Weakness coming on strong”, “To Much Stuff”, “Every Time I Roll the Dice”, “the Best of Me”, and “Leap of Faith” seemed easier to cover than some of the Nashville songs coming out. . However his latest “Lone Star Blues” really knocked my sombrero in the creek. The young man that played fiddle on the song also played pedal steel guitar. Has anyone else heard this song and like it as much as I? Delbert is quite the poet.
