Jim, you would be very welcome to sit in with this group. Let me know if you're passing through NC on I-95 the first Saturday of any month- we've got a great little venue where we have a standing gig... they don't pay us, we don't take requests and we play anything we want. Great audience, too... all jazz junkies. I'd rather play that gig for tips than almost any gig I've played for pay. And... there's no steel player... I'm on 6-string.

Same goes for you, David!

Pete- I concur with David- that's a great country set list.

This is a nice invitation. Merci. A fine set of songs, and being a jazz gig I am sure there's dozens more you had no time to play.

I am having a monday night thing that sounds just like this gig. We don't even need amps. But the babes start dancing anyway!
Similar to the 1st set list I posted. I'll go make it linear.

Well some interesting lists so far.
I am wondering why there are so few CLASSIC country lists, possibly from Texas or the southern USA.

It looks like bands are still covering that "old stuff", so it must still be in demand by someone!

Rick Mcduffie-I like your set list. Most of them that I used to play. I would like to hear Jim Cohen play that setlist!
I think those songs are always popular somewhere........al

Al your quite right on Ricks set!
I would also like to get by Gene's neck of the prairie with a bass, and sit in on that last set...
with Jim Cohen swapping licks with Gene.

Walter, nice set there too.

...however, a handicap would have to be established. Since Jim is only "half" as old as I am, I would be forgiven for only being able to play "half" as good as Jim.

Gene, I'd be happy to know "half" of what you've forgotten!
