Peter Frampton Band Member Dead at 52

By Paul Cashmere

Peter Frampton's long-time keyboard player/guitarist player Bob Mayo has
died of a suspected heart-attack at while on tour in Switzerland. He was 52.

In a statement, Frampton says "We are all heartbroken to learn of the sudden
death of Bob Mayo. Our condolences go out to all who knew and loved him. He
will be missed".

Frampton had just started a European tour with Mayo when the tragedy
happened. "Bob was like a brother to me" Frampton said. "We've performed and
recorded together since 1975 and I will miss him a great deal".

Frampton has cancelled the remainder of the European tour.

Mayo played on Frampton Comes Alive, the biggest selling live album of all
time, and later worked with Robert Plant, Foreigner and Aerosmith.

Mayo is survived by fiancée Laurie Pellillo, step-daughter Catherine Jacoby,
sons Christopher and Gregory Mayo and sister Mary Jo Mayo.
