Lee Anne Womack is a stunning 'Beauty' with a exceptional voice, I know her last hit song was not traditional country but she or should I say her management picks her choice of song releases. Isn't she married to her "Manager/Producer"? Maybe she had a fight with her husband and decided to do something country. |

Actually her husband is a great song guy so he's certainly not the one to blame! He's had a big hand in building the careers of folks like Jim Lauderdale and others. He also co-produced a bunch of very cool (and very country) stuff with Mark Wright when they were working together at Decca. I just 'discovered' Lee Ann Womack recently when I downloaded her song "Never again, again". Franklin was playing steel and they sure sounded good together. Think I'll download "I May Hate Myself in the Morning" based on your comments about it. |

I think PF has done steel on all Lee Ann's major studio releases. Seems the other Leann (Rimes) has also returned to country. She has a tune on today's country radio as well (Nothin' 'Bout Love (Makes Sense)). ------------------ |

Speaking Of Fiddles, Radio Has Down-Played David Ball's New CD (Free Wheeler")Because They Say There Are Too Many Songs On Radio Now That Feature The Fiddle. Thats's A Shame Because David's New CD ("Free Wheeler")Is Very Good And Very Country. I Guess It's Too Country For Them!Another Great Project Bites The Dust. Thanks Radio!!! |

Seems like ten years ago I taped "Never Again, Again" off the radio to try to play PF's harmonics. Later bought the CD. Played the he!! out of the tune but still can't do the sweet stuff |

I have her greatest hits, because I was playing Little Past Little Rock with a band, and liked the tune so I wanted to hear more of her. I just played it at Billy Bobs ( east... Paris Euro Disney) doing this tune. |

Fred, there was another woman who did that song and it might have been Janie Fricke. The name Emmy Lou sticks in my mind also. It might have been her on one of her older releases. |

I heard the new Lee Ann Womack tune on the radio today....sure was nice to hear a country song with fiddles and steel on the RADIO !!She sure can sing and she sure is purty but, where was the midget? I saw the CMA's and there were midgets...you gotta have a midget these days,dont ya?...  Anyway its a very nice song and I hope to here a lot more like it in the near future. |

Well I'll have to turn the radio back on and welcome Lee Ann back to country. She has one of the best initial albums I ever heard then went "NASHVILLE" til I stopped listening. |

I just heard this on the radio yesterday for the first time....and I would have SWORN that it was a "classic" country song, not something new. I was really enjoying it, and shocked when the DJ said it was a new one from LeeAnn.....and the DJ then commented on just how much he loved twin fiddles. Let's hop she starts a trend! Joe |
