Correction and update:

From the John Boy and Billy web page:

Q: I ordered "Blue Christmas" by "Porky Pig" the Christmas
Album from you yesterday...and am glad to have finally found it
after searching for more than 10 years. But now I have seen names like
Denny Brownlee and the original name I heard years ago when I first heard
this recording, Seymour Swine.... so, who actually is the guy singing the song,
"Blue Christmas" on your album..???
A: Denny Brownlee is the one and only vocalist. He was identified
as "Porky Pig" on the original 45 RPM release of the song
20 years ago. Warner Brothers complained about copyright
infringement, so he was rechristned "Seymour Swine" for legal reasons.

Yes, it was Seymour Swine and the Squeelers, featuring Bill Lynn on guitar. The record was speeded up 12%.

A singer/comedian back in the '50s (Tubby Boots?) did a "Porky" version of of the old song "Waltzing With Tears In My Eyes". Naturally, our old bandleader learned it, and it provided a ton of laughs for our audiences back in the '60s.

I didn't think most people nowadays even remembered Porky Pig, let alone appreciate his st-st-st-stuttering comedy!

Yeah, that page has some java script on it that does some stuff. To fix your computer you might try looking for ADREACTOR. Here's part of the code:

BEGIN ADREACTOR ADVANCED CODE BLOCK -->

< !-- END ADREACTOR ADVANCED CODE BLOCK

When I went to that page I was using Firefox on a Mac ands I got a notice that some pop-ups had been blocked. From a limited amount of research, it seems that all Adreactor does is pop up a bunch of windows.

I went to both the mp3 and video pages with Mozilla Firefox too, and haven't noticed any problems....yet.....I will do a scan with Spybot though and see if it finds anything, and seach for ADREACTOR in the registry and in the msconfig. I'm running 98SE on this box, have XP on the way but hasn't arrived yet.

I first opened it in FireFox, but the tune didn't play, so I then opened it in IE 6 SP2. Maybe the XP SP2 firewall stopped the Trojan?!?

The video page has some java script from fastclick, but a lot of pages have fastclick, and as far as I know it's not malicious. Adreactor probably isn't, either. They're just tracking cookies. But, still, you don't want them on your computer.

Jim Smith, I did'nt mean to sound like I was mad or blaming you, and I apologize if that's the way it sounded. I was just trying to alert everyone to a possible problem.

I am using XP with IE but, I have'nt added the SP2 upgrade, so that might be the reason it got through to my computer.

I opened the link several times and had no ill effects...no pop-ups or virus warnings.

Maybe because I use Netscape?

Same here. I'm getting pop ups. This has happened before. Go to the computer section and do a search. You can find out how to remedy this.

Jim, no problem.....just buy us all a round of drinks in Dallas...

I remember hearing "Blue Christmas", Porky Pig-style, by Elvis Presley. In fact, in his come-back, acoustic-style concert, he did a version of it!
