I heard this song once, fifteen years ago and now would like to work it up, but I have no words, chords or melody line, let alone an audio track. Can anyone help with any of these? I did find a high energy rock and roll version of it, but it bears no resemblence to the one in my head. |

Is it the Wynn Stewart song? http://www.luma-electronic.cz/lp/elpe.htm This site has the lyrics to that one. |

I went there but what I found was "I'll Never Forget", by Dolly Parton. Did I miss it? I found mention of Red Allen or Frank Wakefield when I did a Yahoo Search. It seems to be the right period and genre. |

Here is the Wynn Stewart song by that name. Its off of his "Pretty World Today" lp. I think I may have that one at home. OL' WHAT'S HER NAME Well I'll admit that there've been lots of pretty girls I've known Time can never drive her from my memory Time can never drive her from my memory... |

As it turns out http://www.luma-electronic.cz/lp/elpe.htm was so kind as to send me an MP3 of it. I thank you all for your help. |
