Boo, though you probably weren't around back then, I believe you've probably heard some of these songs along the way. Most of these, hit country songs from that period, had little or no steel guitar, but they were still great country songs. Here's some that I recall...

Walk On By
Right Or Wrong
Charlie's Shoes
You're The Reason
Another
Detroit City
Lonesome 77203
Don't Worry 'Bout Me
Oh Lonesome Me
The Three Bells
Country Girl
A Six-Pack To Go
Waterloo
Hello Walls
Abilene
Please Help Me I'm Fallin'
He'll Have To Go
When Two Worlds Collide
Just One Time
I Know One
The End Of The World
The Tips Of My Fingers
The Big Midnight Special

"Story songs" were also extremely popular during that period. Here's a few of those...

Hillbilly Heaven
PT 109
Long Black Veil
Big Bad John
I've Been Everywhere
El Paso
North To Alaska
Mama Sang A Song
Wolverton Mountain
The Battle Of New Orleans
Don't Take Your Guns To Town
Miller's Cave
Sink The Bismark
